I am Peter Greenwood, founder and driving force at Greenwoods Residential a truly independent agency. I’m passionate about property and extremely focused on attention to detail – especially when your property dream is involved. I lead and support my team from the front as they deliver the bespoke services that you deserve. My core principal? ‘Take care of all of our clients with the same high level of service and treat everyone as an individual’

My background? 37 Year’s in the Royal Navy working my way up through the ranks and finally retiring as a Commander. Having spent such a long and varied career in such a large organisation, I decided on leaving the RN to become self-employed and for the past 8 years I have steadily built up Greenwoods Residential for Sales and Lettings. I have a real passion for property having bought my first home back in 1984 and becoming a buy-to-let landlord myself since 1997, I have gained a lot of experience along the way which I apply to all facets of my business. I am very much a hands-on manager and rarely switch off. I am always available on my mobile and I monitor my emails regularly to ensure that I am completely up to date on the sales, lettings and property management aspects of the business. I lead from the front on all tasks and I thoroughly enjoy meeting applicants, landlords and Vendors for viewings or valuations, and I ensure that I personally inspect each of our managed properties at least annually to check for myself before reporting back to the landlord. Above all, making sure that you are kept fully informed about your property and that we are providing the exceptional service that you deserve.

But thankfully it’s not all work…. I have an amazing wife and a wonderful family with 3 children, 2 of which attend local Kingston Secondary Schools doing A levels and GCSE’s and my eldest son works for Garmin on the marketing side. I was asked to be a Director of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce last year and a member of the North Kingston Planning Forum, I was a school governor at Coombe Hill Schools for 8 years in total as the kids where attending these schools. I enjoy… trying to keep fit and working out at the Nuffield Gym, but keeping my weight down is a challenge. I also enjoy playing a social round of golf, or watching my daughter riding or my son playing football for Metropolitan Police. In the quiet hours I love a good action movie, Gladiator is an all time favourite, but Borne Supremacy, Spartans, and recently the Hitman and his Bodyguard are also brilliant. I listen to all types of music, Classical, Jazz (Nina Simone, Ben Webster) to 80’s, 90’s and even some of this years current hits… much to the amazement of my children when I sing the odd line or two..(and they ask, how I know the song… what they don’t realise it’s a re-released favourite of mine).

Administration and accounting support for a young, vibrant team takes calmness, customer focus, integrity and loads of property experience. That’s me, Georgy!

Years in sales and lettings accounting means you’re in confident hands for bills and payments. My eyes are on every penny of rents and deposits. And count on me to be calm and meticulous with other admin – from contractor liaison to helping with business-critical projects.

After hours, a passion for pole and boxing fitness, aerial hoops and silks renews me after another day with a successful property agency. And when I’m not emulating Charlize Theron in the Dior ad, I’m probably cheering-on two rugger-mad sons …

Nothing fazes me (not even tricky numbers or stuck lifts). Thinking on my feet and handling the unexpected probably comes from growing up in an army family! As does seeing different perspectives, knowing when to speak (or keep quiet) and keeping promises. Meeting lovely people, deadlines and sales targets, and giving great service make my perfect day.

Actually, complete perfection would be an Aston DB9 (matching our sleek professionalism) to drive home – while unwinding with Radio 1 and celebrating another day at Kingston’s best sales and lettings agency! Greenwoods…

I have worked at Greenwoods since February 2018 and I really do enjoy working at this wonderful family-run Estate Agency. It has been a fabulous experience being part of an Estate Agency that genuinely cares about our landlords, tenants and home owners and we really do always go that extra mile for them all equally. I live locally with my family and I love Kingston and it’s outstanding shopping facilities and outdoor recreation areas.  I originally came from Burma, where the culture and background of hospitality is second to none. This lead me to graduate with a degree in Hospitality Management at the University of West London, and from this I then worked at the Dorchester for 2 years covering all roles in their graduate training programme which really helped me fine tune my Customer Service skills.

I really love my job at Greenwoods, I am responsible for the day-to-day administration and accounting of both Lettings and Sales and I keep abreast of the ever-changing rental legislation in order to ensure that we remain compliant, with another 153 regulations in the past 5 years to contend with, there really is never a dull moment. I also monitor all of the Referencing and Right to Rent Checks which is a very important aspect of my role.

I really enjoy the fact that at Greenwoods we are all able to contribute, collaborate and express our thoughts and ideas on ways to improve and streamline our processes, in order to ultimately make Greenwoods the very best it can be, and in line with the company’s’ strap line… The difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary….is that little extra….

I have a real passion for property and my Husband and I are building our own property portfolio. In my spare time, I adore spending time with my amazing son and husband and practising my faith as a Buddhist. I love shopping…especially beautiful hand bags, my favourite is my Prada handbag which my mother and father bought for me last year (nice to be spoilt) favourite movie well that’s easy really……Devil Wears Prada, Best book…. ‘Think Big by Donald Trump’ ……Sorry!!

I began my career in the Property industry back in 2002 and during this time I obtained a wealth of knowledge, particularly within Management, Leases and Lettings. Initially as an Administrator, then Junior Property Manager, and progressed rapidly to managing several teams, working within a number of large Property Managing Agents in central London.

I began my role at Greenwoods in February 2018 as Head of Property Management, I look after our managed Flats and Houses as well as our growing Block Management Section. I am responsible for overseeing their day-to-day running and longer term planed works; inspecting properties, avoiding rent arrears and void periods and any conflicts plus drawing up specifications, agreeing budgets, arranging contractors, delivering on major works, whilst always ensuring a Pro-Active Approach to all matters. I believe in a holistic approach but crucially ensure Legal Compliance is met at all times, whilst helping clients save on repair costs or tenants are disturbed as little as possible. I am really into detail and there is no better feeling than researching the land registry web site for deeds to define property boundaries or lease owners etc, bliss…

I am a member of IRPM and RICS and working now to convert these to ARLA qualifications. I strongly believe Customer Service equals happy clients, tenants and contractors, which is paramount to the smooth running of a Property Management Department.

When not managing properties, I spend my time with my 17 year old son, who is keen to become a Royal Marine Officer and my partner, or reading a good book, swimming, playing the piano or flute. My favourite book is Room with a View and my favourite movie is The Dark Crystal.

I was born on Acre Road, North Kingston so I really am a true Kingstonian, I have lived in Kingston, Putney and Southfields all of my life so I know the area extremely well. Also, I have been a landlord for almost 24 years now, which has given me a greater understand of the rental sector and how to work with both tenants and landlords.

I really enjoy all aspects of working at Greenwoods but meeting new clients and assisting them in their moving in process is certainly one of the most rewarding areas. As a mother of two teenagers who are both still in the Kingston school system and having been on every PSA that my children have attended it has given me a very broad parents view of education and the needs of families. So I do understanding what is important about choosing the right areas to live to ensure that your child gets the best chance of being within a specific schools catchment area.

I am a professionally qualified Osteopath and trained at the British School of Osteopathy, I have had my own practice in Southfields for the past 26 years but In my spare time, which there doesn’t seem much of, I really enjoy my weekly clay sculpture class at the Hollyfield Centre, going to palates or working out at Nuffield Gym at least twice a week and driving with the soft top down on my VW Convertible which both exhilarates me and really blows the cobwebs away helping me refocus for the next challenge.
